What it does:

Using Templates

Step 1: Choose a Template

Select the template closest to your use case from the list above.

Step 2: Create Your Agent

  1. Go to AI Chat > Create Agent in the dashboard
  2. Name your agent (e.g., "Support Bot", "Sales Assistant")
  3. Set your brand color and allowed domains
  4. Click Create

Step 3: Apply the Template

  1. Go to Prompts > default > Edit
  2. Copy the template prompt from above
  3. Replace all [bracketed sections] with your specific information
  4. Adjust temperature and max tokens as recommended
  5. Click Save

Step 4: Test and Refine

  1. Use the Preview panel to test common questions
  2. Adjust the prompt based on responses
  3. Add edge cases and guardrails as needed
  4. Deploy when satisfied

Customization Tips

Adding Guardrails

Include explicit "never do" rules:

Never:

Handling Escalation

Define clear handoff triggers:

Escalate to human when:
- Customer mentions "cancel" or "refund" more than once

- Customer expresses frustration or uses negative language
- Issue cannot be resolved in 3 exchanges
