Refund Policy

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Stripe Credits: If you purchase Stripe Credits for use with Demeterics, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase. We believe in our product and stand behind our service.

  • Eligibility: All credit purchases qualify for refund
  • Timeframe: Request must be made within 30 days of purchase
  • Refund Method: Original payment method (7-14 business days)
  • Credit Deduction: Unused credits will be removed from your account upon refund
  • Partial Refunds: If you've used some credits, you'll receive a refund for the unused portion

2. Partial Refunds for Used Credits

Fair Calculation: If you've used some of your purchased credits before requesting a refund, we'll refund you for the remaining unused credits.

Example:

  • You purchase $100 worth of credits (10,000 Stripe Credits)
  • You use 2,000 credits for widget interactions
  • You request a refund on day 25 with 8,000 credits remaining
  • You receive a refund of $80 (8,000 credits ÷ 100 × $1)

3. Credits Never Expire

No Time Pressure: Stripe Credits remain active as long as you use them within 12 months—after a year of inactivity they expire. worrying about losing them. This policy ensures you only request refunds if you're truly unsatisfied.

4. Free Credits

No Refunds Applicable: Free credits provided as part of promotions or trial offers cannot be refunded, as they were not purchased.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

We do not provide refunds in the following cases:

  • Violation of Terms: Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations
  • Abuse: Repeated refund requests or suspected refund abuse
  • Post-30-Day: Credit purchase refund requests after 30 days
  • Fully Used Credits: No refunds if all purchased credits have been consumed
  • Free Credits: Promotional or trial credits cannot be refunded

6. Account Closure & Credit Refunds

Closing Your Account:

  • You may close your Demeterics account at any time
  • Unused credits purchased within 30 days are eligible for refund
  • Credits purchased more than 30 days ago will be forfeited upon account closure
  • Your data will be deleted according to our data retention policy

Before Closing:

  • Consider using your remaining credits before closing your account
  • Export your data if you need to retain it (see section 7 below)
  • Unused credits cannot be transferred to another account

7. Data Export Before Refund

Important: Upon refund or account closure, your data will be deleted according to our data retention policy. Please export your data before requesting a refund or closing your account.

How to Export: Use the POST /api/v1/exports endpoint or the dashboard export feature to download your data in CSV or JSON format.

8. Refund Processing Time

Timeline:

  • Review: Refund requests are reviewed within 2 business days
  • Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 3-5 business days
  • Bank Credit: Refunds appear in your account within 7-14 business days (bank-dependent)

9. How to Request a Refund

Step 1: Export your data (if needed) from the dashboard

Step 2: Contact us via one of these methods:

  • Email: support@demeterics.com
  • Subject Line: "Refund Request - [Your Account Email]"
  • Include: Reason for refund (optional but helpful for product improvement)

Step 3: We will review your request and respond within 2 business days

Step 4: If approved, refund will be processed to your original payment method

10. Exceptions & Special Cases

Service Outages:

If Demeterics experiences a service outage that prevents you from using your credits, you may be eligible for service credit extensions or compensation. Contact support to discuss your specific situation.

Billing Errors:

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or received the wrong number of credits, contact support immediately. We will investigate and issue a refund or credit adjustment if an error occurred.

Duplicate Charges:

If you were charged multiple times for the same credit purchase, we will immediately refund the duplicate charges and add any missing credits to your account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
